01 / The approach

Start with what’s true.
Work from there.

You don’t need another mysterious score. You need to know which details match, what evidence is missing, and what you can do about it.

01

Set your source of truth.

Approve your business details, services, and hours in Business Facts. Collected information stays separate from the facts you approve.

02

Look at the evidence.

Review Search Readiness and save the customer searches that matter. Explore website measurements and enabled AI tests, with their sources and limitations.

03

Give the next step a reason.

Move supported findings into Action Plan. See why the work matters, track your progress, and review fresh evidence after making changes.

The hours don’t tell the same story.

Your approved Saturday closing time is 6pm. The collected website page says 8pm.

THE NEXT STEP

Review the website hours. If the approved hours are correct, update the page and check fresh evidence.

Illustrative content, not a live customer report.

03 / Know what you’re looking at

Evidence comes
with context.

↗

Readiness is about your information.

Check completeness and consistency across permitted website and connected profile evidence. Missing evidence stays visibly unavailable.

↗

Measurements keep their meaning.

Search Console reports describe an authorized website scope when configured. AI tests are timestamped provider API observations, available only for enabled providers.

↗

You stay in charge of the work.

Tracking an action doesn’t publish a change. Marking it complete records your progress; fresh evidence is needed to verify an external result.

A few good questions

Before you
get started.

Who is NearbySignal for?

U.S. local businesses that want to maintain accurate business information, review supporting evidence, and organize practical improvements.

Will this improve my rankings?

NearbySignal helps you understand evidence and track work. It does not guarantee rankings, leads, bookings, revenue, or mentions in AI answers. It does not offer live Google Search or Maps rank testing.

How do source connections work?

Only authorized sources are used. Website and social source setup can require assistance. Search Console availability depends on configuration and approved quota; AI tests depend on enabled providers. Google Business Profile reauthorization is administrator-only.

Are AI tests the same as using ChatGPT or Gemini?

No. Tests use explicitly identified provider APIs and record the method, model, and time. OpenAI tests use web search; Gemini tests use ungrounded model responses. They do not reproduce consumer app experiences or establish a stable AI rank.

What do I do first?

Create an account, verify your email, and set up your workspace and Business Facts. Then review readiness, save customer searches, and track supported actions.
